Debbie with her two Italian Greyhounds
From the kitchen of

Hey, I'm Debbie.

I'm an owner, not a vet, so this isn't a book of cures. No treat will fix a bad back or a dental problem. If you're worried about your dog, your vet comes first.

What this book gives you is control. You'll know what's in the jar, what it costs and how much your dog should have. A 12-pound dog has room for about 40 calories of treats a day, so every recipe tells you the calories per piece.

Short lists, plain ingredients and nothing you can't buy at a normal grocery store.

This is for you if

  • You read the back of the treat bag and put it back on the shelf
  • You have a healthy adult dog of any size, from a Chihuahua to a Labrador
  • You want simple recipes with ingredients from a normal grocery store
  • You want to know how many treats is too many

Questions

Is this a physical book?

No. Licked Clean is a 67-page digital PDF. You get it right after checkout and can read it on your phone, tablet or computer, or print it at home.

How do I get it after I pay?

You'll see a download link as soon as checkout is done, and the same link is sent to your email so you can come back to it anytime.

Will these work for my dog's size?

The recipes are written for healthy adult dogs of any size. Each one lists a daily limit for 12, 25 and 50-pound dogs, and the book shows how to work it out for any other weight.

Can I replace my dog's food with these?

No. These are treats and toppers, not complete meals. They go on top of a complete and balanced diet.

What if my dog has allergies or a health condition?

Recipes are labeled grain-free, egg-free, peanut-free and dairy-free where that applies. Talk to your vet first if your dog is a puppy, is pregnant, takes medication, or has a condition such as pancreatitis, diabetes or kidney disease.

Do I need special equipment?

An oven, a sheet pan and parchment cover most of the book. A blender, silicone molds and a meat thermometer are useful for the rest.
